History :
STRATEGIES CONSULTING was incorporated in 1992 in Europe expressly to provide multi-cultural expertise to U.S. companies interested in generating increased profits through new or existing businesses in western/central Europe.
STRATEGIES CONSULTING expanded its role to also provide guidance to International organizations in the disciplines of strategy generation and strategy execution. This guidance evolved into broader consultation on organizational effectiveness and managerial/team excellence.
STRATEGIES CONSULTING is now successfully supporting senior executives and teams in delivering accelerated results, and guiding the creation and flawless implementation of solid, actionable business strategies in premier organizations operating in the USA and globally.
Founder / Director :
STRATEGIES CONSULTING was founded by and is directed by John Philip Wyek, an executive with many years of consumer marketing and general management experience. During his 21 years with Levi Strauss & Co, he held numerous executive positions. At Levi’s corporate headquarters, he was Director, Office of Strategic Research, responsible for consumer research, retail research, new product development research, and business analysis. At Levi’s European headquarters, he evaluated market potential for new product lines and new geographic markets. For the Russell Athletic Division of the international apparel manufacturer The Russell Corporation, he had P&L responsibility during his three years as European Director.
He is widely recognized for his expertise in leadership skills, innovative marketing techniques, his appreciation of cultural and language influences, and his understanding of consumer and organizational behaviors. He has been a source on marketing and consumer trends for the business press and general publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Newsweek, Advertising Age and more than twenty others. He has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences, seminars and university events.
He serves on the adjunct faculty of Dominican University of California in the Barowsky School of Business, teaching undergraduate, graduate and executive education courses in Performance Leadership, Team Excellence, Project Management and Branding. In addition, he does pro bono executive coaching with Taproot and the Venture Greenhouse.
